Learn how Queristo's four-tier panel framework helps organizations deploy the right AI depth for every part of their business.

A Framework Built for How Organizations Actually Work

Every organization has layers. There is the core infrastructure that keeps everything functioning — IT systems, administrative processes, and foundational policies. Above that are the specialized functions: the finance team managing cash flow, the legal team managing risk, and the HR team managing people. And depending on your industry, there is another layer of vertical-specific knowledge that shapes everything from how you talk to customers to how you file regulatory reports.

Queristo's Panel of AI Experts is designed to mirror that same structure. The four-tier framework is not arbitrary. It reflects the real architecture of organizational knowledge — and ensures that AI depth is applied exactly where it is needed.

Tier 1: Foundation Experts — The Baseline That Never Fails

Every Queristo deployment begins with the Foundation Experts. These are the Generalist and Deep Generalist models, and they serve a specific purpose: to be reliably useful across the full range of queries your organization generates, without requiring domain-specific knowledge.

Think of Foundation Experts as the organizational memory of a senior generalist — someone who knows enough about everything to answer broad questions well, route complex ones to the right specialist, and never leave a query unanswered.

Foundation Experts handle:

  • General knowledge questions and research tasks
  • Drafting, summarization, and formatting work that is not domain-sensitive
  • Queries that fall between the expertise of specialized models
  • Escalation routing — directing complex queries to the appropriate Business Function or Industry Expert

They are also the safety net. When a specialized expert reaches the edge of its domain, the Foundation Expert catches the query. No dead ends. No unanswered questions.

The Queristo Help Expert, currently in development, will join the Foundation tier as a dedicated guide for platform onboarding, documentation support, and user training.

Tier 2: Business Function Experts — Where Most Organizations Begin

The Business Function tier is the practical heart of most Queristo deployments. These five experts cover the core organizational functions found in virtually every mid-to-large company, regardless of industry:

Revenue Ops serves Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams. It understands pipeline management, customer segmentation, campaign strategy, retention frameworks, and the intersection of all three functions where revenue is actually generated.

Finance & Operations covers Finance, Operations, and Project Management. It can reason about cash flow, budget variance, operational efficiency metrics, project timelines, and resource allocation — the kind of structured, numbers-driven thinking that most generalist AI handles poorly.

IT & Cybersecurity addresses the combined domain of Information Technology and Information Security. It understands network architecture, identity management, vulnerability assessment, incident response, and the increasingly intertwined relationship between IT operations and security posture.

Human Resources covers the full scope of workforce management — recruitment, compensation, performance management, policy administration, benefits, and employee relations. It is trained to understand the language of HR, including the legal nuances that make workforce management so complex.

Legal & Compliance covers Legal Affairs, Intellectual Property, Governance, and Compliance. This is perhaps the most consequential of the Business Function Experts — the one where the difference between a precise answer and a hallucinated one carries the greatest risk.

Tier 3: Industry-Specific Experts — When Vertical Depth Changes Everything

For many organizations, Business Function Experts deliver the majority of value. But some industries operate with such specific regulatory environments, technical vocabularies, and domain knowledge requirements that a function-level expert simply cannot reach deep enough.

Industry-Specific Experts are activated based on real organizational demand — they are not installed by default, and they are only developed when business justified. This keeps your panel lean and prevents unnecessary compute overhead.

Available industry experts include:

  • Health Care — Hospitals, clinics, health insurance, medical equipment
  • Software & AI — Software development, DevOps, AI & data science, product management (In Progress)
  • Financial Activities — Banking, investment, wealth management, fintech, insurance, real estate
  • Life Sciences & Pharma — Pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, clinical research
  • Aerospace & Defense — Aviation, space systems, ground defense
  • And more across a variety of verticals

A Health Care organization, for example, may find that its Revenue Ops expert handles billing and insurance follow-up well — but when a query touches clinical documentation standards or HIPAA-specific protocol, a Health Care Industry Expert delivers answers that a function-level model cannot.

Tier 4: Custom Experts — When the Catalog Ends and Your Business Begins

No catalog can anticipate every organizational need. Custom Experts exist for precisely the cases that fall outside every other tier.

Custom Experts are built through a structured engagement:

  1. Requirements gathering with your key stakeholders
  2. Domain specification — defining the knowledge boundaries and performance targets
  3. Data inventory — identifying the proprietary sources the expert will be fine-tuned on
  4. Development and testing — iterative training with performance benchmarking
  5. Optional graduation — select Custom Experts may be added to the Industry-Specific catalog once proven

Custom Experts are best suited for organizations in niche verticals, those with highly specialized internal workflows, or those operating in regulated environments where standard expert coverage leaves meaningful gaps.

Choosing Your Starting Configuration

Most organizations do not need all four tiers on day one — and that is by design. The recommended approach:

  1. Start with Foundation — Deploy the Generalist and Deep Generalist to establish baseline capabilities and begin learning your organization's query patterns.
  2. Activate Business Function — Add the experts that serve your highest-volume or highest-stakes departments first.
  3. Assess Industry Depth — After 60–90 days of Business Function operation, evaluate whether vertical-specific knowledge gaps are limiting accuracy.
  4. Commission Custom — Only when your requirements genuinely exceed the standard catalog.

Your panel grows with your organization. The framework is the same whether you are a 200-person company or a 20,000-person enterprise.
